About Nine

Nine is a coliving space based in the historical centre of La Orotava, in Tenerife. Digital Nomads from all over the world come here to stay, work, meet each other and explore the island.

A big part of Nine is the community. Creating connections between people is what will be your most important asset as a host at Nine. As a content creator you will be in charge of content creation and the managing of social networks, newsletters etc.

About the position

This is a position that basically exist of two different jobs, but in our opinion could go very well together. :) Therefor we ideally would find someone to fulfil them both with one person.

Host at Nine

As a host you will be responsible for the daily running of Nine every other weekend. This means something different every day, so you will have to be flexible and enjoy work that changes by the minute. You will be available to the guests to provide information and answer questions, check guests in and out and help with organising community activities and events. Part of being a host also means being able to solve issues as they arise during the day, helping around the house, working with a team, cleaning in the weekend and sometimes getting your hands dirty.

Part of being a host, means taking care of the community. You will help with the organisation of weekend activities. You have the freedom to organise activities for the community, at Nine or on the island. It can also mean helping the community to organise their own activities.

You will be working in a small team, with the owner Anne, the house manager Silvia, our other host Rebeca, cleaning lady Nati and an Erasmus student/volunteer. This position comes with a lot of responsibility, but also with a lot of freedom to make the role your own. You will respond to Anne and Silvia, but on the days that you work, you are responsible for the house and the community.

Content creator

We are looking for someone who will be able to capture the true essence of Nine and convert this into content for our various platforms like the website, newsletter and social media. You will then also post and manage our various channels.

The idea is that you will be around Nine for about 10 hours during the week (Mon-Fri). I this time you can work in our workspace and be around the community to capture moments as they happen. Together with Anne you will decide on the vision for the content creation, but your own professional input is very much appreciated.
